Second Round of Grading of RSETIs for the FY 2012-13

Considering the positive initiatives taken by the sponsoring Banks in furthering the RSETI movement and to motivate them further to bring all the RSETIs to the platform of a best performing RUDSETI in the country, MoRD decided to grade all the RSETIs for the year 2012-13 as well. However, the parameters of grading for the year 2012-13 are on different parameters as under:

  • There shall be no grading of RSETIs which are less than one year old.
  • RSETIs which are between 1-3 years old would be graded in one stage on the lines of last year. Consequently, the grades awarded shall be A, B, C or D.
  • RSETIs which are over 3 years old shall be graded in two stages. First stage would be related to infrastructure, pre-training and training activities and the second stage would be post training and settlement activities. Each stage will carry a weightage of 100 marks. The final grade awarded would be AA, AB, BA, BB, AC, CA, BC, DA, DC, DB and so on.

In terms of the above directions of MoRD, out of the 549 functional RSETIs across the country, the Monitoring Cell for RSETIs successfully carried out grading of 523 RSETIs of which 213 RSETIs are between the age of 1-3 years and 310 RSETIs are above 3 years. The balance of 26 RSETIs were not graded since the Institutes are less than one year old.

It is indeed a matter of pride for the Monitoring Cell for RSETIs that as many as 86 and 77 RSETIs were graded A & B respectively under category I and under category II, 147 RSETIs were graded AA. However, 38 RSETIs and 32 & 35 RSETIs were graded AB, BA & BB respectively. All the above graded RSETIs are eligible to get reimbursement of the training cost of BPL candidates from MoRD. This is a visible significant improvement in status of RSETIs during the year 2012-13 when compared to the grading carried out during year 2011-12.
