Celebration of RSETI Diwas – National Meet to Recognise Best Performance of Stakeholders

RSETI Diwas is an unique event organised to recognize the best performing RSETIs, SRLMs, and Banks by felicitating them, which will boost their morale and motivate others also to perform to their full potential. As in the last two years,
‘RSETI Diwas’ was organised during this year also on 15.07.2015 at Mavalankar Hall, New Delhi.
RSETI Diwas began with a welcome address from Sri K N Janardhana, National Director for RSETIs, which was followed by a brief presentation on the activities of RSETIs from Smt. Renuka Kumar, Director, MoRD. Three successful entrepreneurs trained by RSETIs shared their experience with the participants before the commencement of the programme and two other successful entrepreneurs shared their experience after the inauguration of RSETI Diwas programme. The programme was inaugurated by Sri J K Mohapatra, Secretary, MoRD and presided over by Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Hon. Co-Chairman, NLAC on RSETIs. The programme was also attended by Ms. Aparajita Sarangi, Joint Secretary, MoRD, Sri Arun Shrivastava, MD & CEO, Syndicate Bank, Sri P S Rawat, Executive Director, Canara Bank, Chairman, ED, GMs and other officials from the Banks, Senior Government officials, State Directors for RSETIs, officials from NACER and National Academy of RUDSETI.
In his inspiring inaugural address, Sri J K Mohapatra, Secretary, MoRD traced the genesis of RSETIs, and gave his perspectives on how RSETIs can be transformed into ‘Centres of Excellence’ in the coming days.
As part of the event, Sri Mohapatra released the “Annual Activities Report” brought out by NACER for the financial year 2014-15 and also a DVD containing inputs on Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) in prominent local languages for the use of RSETI trainees. The EDP inputs in local languages are helpful to the RSETI staff in easily understanding the concepts and share the same with trainees during training programmes organised by RSETIs.
It was followed by “Award Presentation Ceremony” in which the Best Performing RSETIs, Best Banks and Best States were felicitated by Shri Mohapatra, Secretary, MoRD and Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Co-Chairman, National Level Advisory Committee on RSETIs, by distributing Trophies/ Commendation Certificates. Details of the category of awardees in different segments viz. States, Sponsor Banks, RSETIs, NACER, NAR and Co - Sponsors of NAR are furnished below:
1. States: First three places based on the highest percentage of A/AA graded RSETIs in the States.
2. Sponsor Banks: First three places in three categories as follows:
a) Category A: Banks with 40 or more RSETIs
b) Category B: Banks with 21 to 39 RSETIs.
c) Category C: Banks with 20 or less RSETIs.
3. RSETIs: Top performing RSETIs of the Banks.
4. Felicitation to NDR, NACER: NAR: In recognition of the tireless efforts made in Championing the cause of RSETIs across the Country, Shri K N Janardhana, NDR was felicitated by Sri J K Mohapatra, Secretary, MoRD, and Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Hon. Co-Chairman, NLAC and President, NAR by giving him a special trophy
5. Felicitation to NAR: National Academy of RUDSETI was felicitated with a trophy in recognition of the contributions made in capacity building of RSETI Directors and Faculty Members. The award was received by Sri N. Manjunatha Bhat, DG, NAR and his team.
6. Sponsor Banks of NAR: SyndicateBank and Canara Bank, both bagged first prizes in category ‘C’ and ‘B’ respectively. Similarly, RUDSETI too bagged first prize under category ‘B’ in recognition of their Exceptional contributions to RSETI Movement in the Country.
After felicitating the Best Performers, Dr. D Veerendra Heggade delivered his presidential address in which he highlighted the policy-related critical issues that were affecting the RSETI movement and sought the support from MoRD and Sponsor Banks in addressing some of the key issues which have a bearing on RSETIs. Smt. Aparajita Sarangi, Joint Secretary, MoRD proposed a vote of thanks.
