Inauguration of new premises of National Centre for Excellence of RSETIs

National Centre for Excellence of RSETIs moved over to a new and spacious premises to meet the growing needs for a higher office space as a result of the expanded role of NACER on account of new collaborative arrangement entered into with various agencies/organisations such as Khadi & Village Industries Commission, National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation, LIFE MGNREGA Project etc. Formal inauguration of the new premises of NACER was done by Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Hon. Co-Chairman, NLAC on RSETIs in the august presence of Sri Arun Shrivastava, MD & CEO, SyndicateBank, Sri P S Rawat, ED, Canara Bank, Sri S S Bhat, CGM, Canara Bank and Sri R S Pandey, ED, SyndicateBank. The programme was also attended by Sri M Mohan Reddy, GM, PSCD, SyndicateBank, top officials from State Bank of Mysore, Vijaya Bank and Corporation Bank, ASARE members and staff of RUDSETI, Nelamangala and nearby RUDSETIs / RSETIs, invitees and well-wishers from Banks and Government Departments.

Dr D Veerendra Heggade, in his inaugural address, emphasized the need for RSETIs to concentrate more on organizing need based and qualitative training programmes.Sri Arun Shrivastava, MD & CEO of SyndicateBank while appreciating the role of RSETIs in creating employment opportunities to lakhs of unemployed youth, promised the Bank’s continued support to the noble cause and stated that Dr D Veerendra Heggade has been playing the role of “Bhishma Pitamaha” in nurturing the RUDSETIs/RSETIs in the Country.

Sri P S Rawat, ED, Canara Bank in his address recalled the long association and coordination between SDME Trust and Canara Bank in establishing RUDSETIs / RSETIs for addressing the unemployment problem in the Country.

Earlier, Sri K N Janardhana, NDR, gave a brief introduction to the genesis of RSETIs and the journey from RUDSETI to RSETI and welcomed all the participants. The programme commenced with an invocation by Smt. Usha Janardhan and concluded with a vote of thanks by Sri Vasudeva Kalkundri, Director, NACER.
