Participation of Sri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Government of India in the First Standing Advisory Committee Meeting on PMEGP

The first Standing Advisory Committee Meeting on PMEGP was held at Dharmasthala on 23.11.2015 which was presided over by Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, Hon. Co-Chairman of National Level Advisory Committee on RSETIs. Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, Government of India graced the occasion and guided the deliberations. The Meeting was attended by Sri B H Anil Kumar, IAS, Joint Secretary MSME and Sri. A K Jha, CEO, KVIC and General Managers from various Banks sponsoring RSETIs and few State Directors from KVIC.

The programme was jointly inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Shri Kalraj Mishra, Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Sri. A K. Jha, CEO, KVIC in the presence of General Managers of participating Banks and the officials from KVIC.

Thereafter, Shri B. H. Anil Kumar, IAS, Joint Secretary, MSME made the presentation on the roles and responsibilities of RSETIs as well as Banks in promoting and nurturing Micro Enterprises by ensuring quality inputs during the training programme and the critical issues that are to be addressed.

Later, Mr. K N Janardhana, NDR presented the gist of MOU signed between NACER and Ministry of MSME, the purpose of convening the Standing Advisory Committee Meeting at quarterly intervals, expectations from the Ministry, problems faced by Bankers and appealed to Bankers to give top priority for the PMEGP candidates by organizing training programmes with utmost priority.

After hearing the viewpoints of GMs, KVIC Officials, Dr. Veerendra Heggade summed up the proceedings with a call to Bankers to attach priority to PMEGP training programme and implement it with all the seriousness and flagged certain important issues for consideration of the Hon’ble Minister.

While concluding, Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Union Minister for MSME, expressed his happiness that First Standing Advisory Committee Meeting of PMEGP has been organised at Dharmasthala which is known for its incredible work done in the field of Rural Development with special reference to RSETI movement in the country. Hon’ble Minister assured the Banks that all the help will be extended to see that benefits of Ministry of MSME reach the last man in the country.
